Wag ń Bietjie Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 26 June 2026
Welcome to Wag ń Bietjie.
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, products and services. By
accessing our website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Us
Wag ń Bietjie designs and manufactures handcrafted furniture and outdoor products in
South Africa.
Our products are primarily made from reclaimed pallet wood, giving every piece its own
unique appearance and character.
No two products are exactly alike.

2. Definitions
Throughout these Terms:
- “We”, “our” and “us” refer to Wag ń Bietjie.
- “You” and “your” refer to the customer placing an order.
- “Products” means all furniture, accessories and other goods sold by Wag ń
Bietjie.
- “Website” refers to our online store and all associated pages.

3. Acceptance of Orders
Placing an order does not automatically guarantee acceptance.
We reserve the right to:
- decline an order;
- limit quantities;
- cancel fraudulent or suspicious orders;
- correct pricing or website errors before fulfilling an order.

If payment has already been made for an order that cannot be fulfilled, a full refund will
be issued.

4. Made-to-Order Products
Unless stated otherwise, all Wag ń Bietjie furniture is handcrafted to order.
Production begins only after payment (or the agreed deposit where applicable) has
been received.
Because each item is individually built, production times may vary depending on current
order volumes.
Estimated lead times are provided as guidance only.

5. Bulk Orders
We welcome bulk and commercial orders.
Large orders may require:
- a quotation;
- production scheduling;
- staged deliveries;
- customised payment terms.
Bulk lead times may differ from standard retail orders.

6. Product Variations
Our furniture is handcrafted using reclaimed pallet wood.
Because reclaimed timber carries its own history, variations are expected and
celebrated.
These may include:
- grain differences;
- colour variation;
- knots

- small filled imperfections;
- texture differences;
- natural weathering marks.
These characteristics are not defects and form part of the unique appearance of each
piece.
Product photographs are representative only and should not be interpreted as an exact
replica of the item you receive.

7. Dimensions
As every product is handmade, minor dimensional tolerances may occur.
Unless otherwise stated, measurements may vary by approximately 5-10 mm.
These tolerances are considered acceptable and are not manufacturing defects.

8. Colours
Colours displayed on phones, tablets and computer monitors vary between devices.
Actual product colours, timber tones and canvas shades may differ slightly from those
shown online.

9. Timber Movement
Wood is a natural material.
Changes in temperature and humidity may cause timber to expand, contract or develop
small surface checks over time.
These natural movements are normal and do not indicate faulty workmanship.

10. Pricing
All prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR).
Prices may change without notice.

The price charged will be the price confirmed at checkout.

11. Payment
Orders must be paid using one of the payment methods offered during checkout.
For selected products or bulk orders we may request a deposit before production
begins.
Remaining balances must be settled before dispatch unless otherwise agreed in writing.

12. Production Delays
Although we work hard to meet estimated lead times, delays may occur due to
circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
- supplier shortages;
- machinery breakdown;
- transport disruptions;
- severe weather;
- load shedding;
- power failures;
- illness;
- industrial action.
We will keep customers informed whenever significant delays arise.

13. Delivery
Delivery dates are estimates only.
Customers are responsible for ensuring:
- the delivery address is correct;
- someone is available to receive the order;
- furniture can safely pass through entrances, gates, lifts and stairways.
Additional delivery costs resulting from incorrect information supplied by the customer
may be charged.

14. Failed Deliveries
If delivery cannot be completed because:
- no one is available;
- access is denied;
- the address is incorrect;
- delivery is refused;
additional delivery charges may apply.
Storage charges may also be charged where applicable.

15. Inspection on Delivery
Customers should inspect products upon delivery.
Any transport damage or missing items should be reported within 48 hours together with
photographs of:
- the product;
- packaging;
- courier labels.
Failure to report visible transport damage within this period may affect our ability to
process claims with the courier.

16. Product Care

Failure to properly maintain products may void applicable warranties.

use.
Commercial or high-frequency use may accelerate wear and is not covered under
standard warranty.

18. Weight Limits
Customers are responsible for using products within reasonable weight limits.
Damage resulting from misuse, overloading, abuse or modification is not covered.

19. Warranty
We warrant that our workmanship meets a high standard.
This warranty does not cover:
 -accidental damage;
- misuse;
- neglect;
- improper storage;
- exposure to unsuitable environmental conditions;
- normal wear and tear;
- natural characteristics of reclaimed timber;
- cosmetic variations inherent in handmade products.
